Behind The Art: Robot Factory Pack And Ship
I started to make the 3D for the image on 2/20/2012 I wanted to draw something new that day and I had the time on my hands to do.
So first I made the 3D robot…it took a few tries to get it the way I wanted.
When the robot model was done it was time to set up the lighting, put the Material on it, and make a armature for it, so I can turn and move it around.
So now it was time for the next part, I wanted to make him in a box and then build something that will hold him from moving, so he won’t break when he gets shipped off ^-^
When that was done it looked like this.
Now I needed to build the scene and world around the robot.
So I can make it feel real, I was thinking the robot should be in a factory. In the background I would have to make robots being built, so I made robots on conveyor belts being built, and to add a nice touch I also put the time into it to make it show the robot head being put on, and as you can see the sparks coming out and on the other one you can see the robot getting his armor on. But before I made that I wanted to make the background. So for that I wanted to show that they are making a lot of robots and making them ready to be shipped out. So for that I needed to show a lot of robots in boxes, like the first robot I made and then I made something like a crane holding the first robot that is all boxed up like it’s being moved into the back with the other robots..
When it was all good and done, it came out like this,
I think you can really feel the land around the robot and by doing that it makes it feel more real, and it makes a great picture to look at, there’s a lot of things going on and that adds to the picture.
If I had more room in the picture I would like to show the robot being packed up. And I would have liked it to show the robot
But that might of just over did it…anyway, so with that I just need to do one more thing before I could say I’m done.
So first I wanted to move the robot on the bottom a little so it would look better, then I use the nodes so I can fix the coloring a little by making it more of a green color then, I would darken the background and blur it a little, and then Soften it, for the other thing I then glare the image in the front, and then I glare the main robot to make him really shine I add also a more green color to him, I also fix some other little stuff...So when I was done with all that I had the final image.
It took a long time before the image was done, at the end it came out just the way I wanted it, I was done with the picture 2/22/2012 and I was up late to get it done ._. But now that I’m done working on it. It is time to get some Sleep ^-^
